As a fiduciary, Jeff helps clients pursue their life goals through careful advice, astute investment management, and access to the global capabilities of Wells Fargo. He serves as Principal and head of executive management committees of the firm to directly engage with Quillion's most valued client relationships.
Jeff began his career in 1997 with Merrill Lynch where he developed one of the firm's most admired practices. After nearly 20 years, Jeff elected to create an independent firm focused simply on his clients' needs. Jeff is regularly recognized as an award winning leader in the industry, and lends his expertise to industry publications, conferences, and panels. In addition to being a client advocate, he also oversees Quillion's day to day business activities. Jeff currently maintains FINRA series 6,7,9, 66 Securities Registrations, as well as Maryland Life and Health Insurance Licenses.
Jeff attended Calvert Hall High School (MD) and graduated from Mt. St. Mary's University (MD) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Richard J. Bolte School of Business where he captained the Mount's Division I NCAA soccer team and played internationally with the Olympic Development Program. He Currently serves as a treasurer and officer of the schools non-profit Soccer Foundation.
Jeff and his family are strongly committed to charity and community. He continues to serve the community through involvement with Habitat for Humanity, Maryland Special Olympics, Calvert Hall Alumni Soccer Foundation, and Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC). Previously, Jeff served as a board member on the Partnership Board of the United Way and as a coach for the Maryland Olympic Development Boys soccer program.
He lives in Western Howard County with his wife, Erin, and their son and daughter.
Douglas J. Brandeen
Doug Brandeen has worked in the investment management industry since 1998. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy and his MBA from the University of Maryland. Doug’s eight years in the Naval Service were spent primarily in the Business Financial area of the Naval Supply Corps, which included two deployments to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Doug spent his last four years in the Navy as the Financial Advisor at the United States Naval Academy located in Annapolis, Maryland. As a Senior Financial Advisor Douglas’ areas of expertise include providing strategic asset allocation strategies and managing clients’ long-term financial planning needs. For nearly two decades Doug has assisted corporate executives of S&P 500 companies manage their wealth and retirement assets. When Doug is not working, He enjoys playing multiple sports, coaching his kids sports teams, and spending quality time with his wife and four children.
David E. Brandeen
David Brandeen has worked in the investment management industry since 1998. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy and his MBA in finance from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech. David served six years in the naval service, primarily as a naval aviator, and in a support role was assigned to SEAL Team One.
After serving in the Navy, David spent several years as a government and telecom consultant for KPMG, Peat Marwick, and Bell Atlantic. David’s areas of focus include selecting and overseeing the investment managers, evaluating asset allocation strategies, and managing client relationships. Dave also serves on the firms investment committee.
Dean B. Shuplinkov
Dean has over 18 years of investment industry experience and numerous recognition awards. He is dedicated to thoroughly understanding the priorities of high net worth individuals, families, and businesses, providing them with personalized attention and disciplined, customized strategies in achieving their specific goals.
Dean, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, helps clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Advisory Programs, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis.
Dean has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and lives in Gambrills, Maryland with his wife, Heidi, and their two daughters, Sarah and Carly. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, sport fishing, hunting, and competitive shooting.
Dean is Registered and maintains FINRA series 7, 9, and 10 Maryland Life and Health licenses.
Robert J. Link
Rob focuses on building, managing, preserving, and transitioning wealth for his clients. He primarily provides retirement guidance and investment management to select Fortune 500 company employees and corporate executives. By better understanding his clients’ needs and goals, Rob and the Quillion Team construct and maintain a comprehensive custom and transparent investment strategy in order to better help clients reach their desired retirement goals. Using a disciplined investment process, Rob advises clients on wealth accumulation, preservation, transfer, and protection options leading up to, and throughout retirement.
After creating a client’s risk profile, customized portfolios are formulated based on research from Wells Fargo Securities and multiple outside, unbiased research firms. Rob and the team often favor individual stocks and bonds over mutual funds, for cost and tax efficiencies. Global diversification is a prime consideration.
Rob began working in the financial services industry in 2006. He is a graduate of Calvert Hall College High School and Mount St. Mary’s University. At the Mount, Rob captained the men’s rugby team while receiving his Bachelor of Science in Economics. In his free time, Rob actively maintains his membership with the Knights of Columbus by participating in numerous community service programs. In addition, he enjoys mountain biking and skiing. Rob is fully registered and maintains the FINRA series 7 and 66 registrations, along with the Maryland Life and Health insurance licenses.
Registered Senior Account Administrator
Judy is a seasoned veteran of financial services and is sensitive to the needs of clients she’s known for years. Prior to joining Quillion Wealth Management, Judy had worked for Bank of America and Merrill Lynch for a combined 28 years. While serving these positions, Judy earned a number of client service awards. She proudly handles a range of transactional and administrative roles and responsibilities. Judy’s especially helpful in serving as a liaison between clients and specialists throughout Quillion. Judy holds Series 7 and 66 registrations.
A native of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Judy graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies. While in college, she was the editor of the school’s Journal of International Affairs. Today, Judy and her husband, Kurt, live in Baltimore City where Judy enjoys Wednesday night sailboat racing and spends her free time bringing support and shelter to homeless and abused cats in the area.
Lexi spends her day researching information by studying public records and filings by companies, as well as by participating in public conference calls where she can ask direct questions to the management in order to provide information to Quillion’s investment committee. She directly supports the team by tracking economic and business trends for bonds, stocks and other types of investments and assists in identifying strategies.
Lexi is currently completing a business degree from University of Maryland College Park and is a graduate of Centennial High School in Howard County.
